This one was a lot of fun to put together. The homeowner wanted a master bath that felt high-end without the maintenance headache of real marble - and that's exactly where large-format marble-look porcelain tile shines. We ran it floor to ceiling throughout the shower, and carried the same tile out across the entire bathroom floor for a seamless, cohesive look that makes the space feel much bigger than it actually is.
The shower itself was built out with a ton of thought behind it. Floor-to-ceiling tile on every wall, a small horizontal window trimmed in gold, built-in corner shelves, and hexagon mosaic tile on the shower floor - all tied together with brushed gold accents on the drain, the glass door frame, and the fixtures. That kind of consistency across every detail is what separates a good tile job from a great one.
The vanity area follows the same design language. Warm wood cabinetry, white quartz countertops, and gold hardware throughout - all sitting on top of that same marble-look porcelain. When the finish materials work together like this, the whole room just clicks. That's the goal on every bathroom remodeling job we take on.
Getting the tile layout right on a project like this takes real planning. Large-format tiles require a flat, properly prepared substrate - otherwise you end up with lippage, cracked grout lines, and tiles that pop over time. Our custom tile work process starts long before the first tile goes down, which is why the finished result looks as clean as it does.
The Boise and Treasure Valley area has no shortage of bathrooms that deserve this kind of upgrade. If you've been sitting on a remodel idea, this is what's possible when the details are done right.
